Setting Up a GoMint Server Host

  1. Download GoMint Server Software
  2. Go to the GoMint website and download the latest version of the GoMint server software.

  3. Create a New Directory

  4. Create a new directory on your computer where you want to store the GoMint server files.

  5. Extract Server Software

  6. Extract the GoMint server software files from the downloaded ZIP archive into the directory you created.

  7. Configure Server Settings

  8. Open the server.properties file in a text editor to configure the server settings such as the server port, world name, and other properties.

  9. Start the Server

  10. Run the server executable file to start the GoMint server. This will generate the necessary files and folders for the server to run.

  11. Port Forwarding (If Hosting Online)

  12. If you want to make your server accessible online, you'll need to set up port forwarding on your router to allow external connections to the server.

  13. Connect to the Server

  14. Use the IP address of the host computer and the server port to connect to the GoMint server using the GoMint client or a compatible Minecraft client.

  15. Manage and Customize

  16. Once the server is running, you can manage and customize it further by adding plugins, modifying server settings, and creating or importing custom worlds.

  17. Regular Maintenance

  18. Regularly update the server software, manage player permissions, and monitor server performance to ensure smooth operation.
