my chromecast is set up but can't be found

  1. Confirm that the Chromecast device is properly connected to the TV's HDMI port and powered using the provided USB cable and power adapter.

  2. Ensure that the TV is turned on and set to the correct HDMI input source where the Chromecast is connected.

  3. Verify that the Chromecast and the casting device (e.g., smartphone, tablet, or computer) are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

  4. Open the Google Home app on the casting device.

  5. Tap on the "+" icon to add a device.

  6. Select "Set up device" and choose "Set up new devices."

  7. The app will search for available devices; when the Chromecast is found, tap on it.

  8. Confirm the displayed code on both the TV screen and the casting device.

  9. Choose a name for the Chromecast and select the Wi-Fi network you want it to connect to.

  10. Enter the Wi-Fi password if prompted.

  11. The Chromecast will connect to the Wi-Fi network, and a confirmation message will appear on the TV.

  12. Follow any additional prompts to complete the setup.

  13. Once the setup is complete, you should be able to cast content to your Chromecast from supported apps on your casting device.
